Solar offices, Sunderland One of the most striking solar buildings in Britain. At the time of its completion in 1998, this low-energy office building in the Doxford International Business Park, boasted the largest solar facade in Europe. The photovoltaic cells comprise most of the external cladding on the south-facing walls and generate up to 70kW of electricity.
