Hydrogen-powered
bus, Iceland
A hydrogen-fuelled
bus in the centre of geothermally-heated Reykjavik. Iceland
has ambitions to be powered entirely by renewable energy, thanks
to its abundance of geothermal and hydroelectricity resources.
This zero-emission fuel cell bus, part of a Europe-wide trial,
looks forward to a day when all Icelandic vehicles (and the
fishing fleet) run on hydrogen produced by electricity from
renewable energy.
