Anti-airport demo During 2003, the Department of Transport floated the idea of a totally new international airport in the Warwickshire countryside. The destruction of two villages and 16,000 hectares of countryside generated outrage including this anti-airport march through Rugby, just a few miles from the site of the proposed development.
