"Ride the Wind" initiative, Calgary, Canada It's not all gas-guzzling SUVs in North America. Calgary has a mass transit system which buys its electricity from windfarms in southern Alberta. Even more amazingly, travel on the trains is free in the downtown area, including this street where cars are banned.
